photobooth with the dooner babe.

Mama Mia is in town - and you know what that means!!!!! PHOTOBOOTH! I LOVE HER!!!! We have had some great times swimming with Amos, walking the beach (photo and pictures to come soon), talking, going to the prayer room, walking the shops, visiting Target, going to breakfast, eating some delish Mexican food - and being together. I am so happy when she is here - I can't think about the fact it only get to happen a couple times a year.

Family is a beautiful, beautiful thing.

Sorry the amount of pictures is so excessive - but it's for memories sake.

US Sandcastle Competition.

Last Sunday my friend Brit and Lincoln, a brother and sister duo, came down from LA to visit. Brit has a informative, witty, and useful blog titled the LA Virgin.

After a delicious (sooooo delicious) lunch at the Linkery in our neighborhood, we dropped off Amos ate his grandparent's and checked out the Sandcastle competition in Imperial Beach.

snap it pretty! workshop // Part 1

last saturday ricky and i packed up the car with our little amos and headed up to LA for a photography workshop called snap it pretty!. ricky spent the afternoon with amos while i learned the basics of shooting manual on my SLR. it was so much fun, and had absolutely stunning setups. the workshop was hosted by these 3 lovely ladies:

the workshop began with a beautiful welcome table with some programs, a little notebook and handmade name tags, displayed with flowing dyed crepe paper.

upon arrival we sat down on vintage lawn chairs and heard jennifer teach us all she knew about using our SLR's.

the set up was wonderful and there were plenty of pretty things to practice our cameras on. the workshop was held at the lovely George Key Ranch and i felt like i was on an afternoon vacation. our lunches were delicious sandwiches wrapped in vintage linens, and ice cold izze sodas that we ate on some vintage quilts and blankets.
